I recently watched a movie called, Me, Myself, and Irene, which I have watched several times before. This movie was made in 2000 and it is a comedy, in this movie, Charlie Baileygates is a Rhode Island trooper who suffers dissociative Identity Disorder after a series of bad events. He develops a split personality whose name is Hank and he is the total opposite of Charlie. Charlie and Hank are in a constant battle for the affection of Irene.
On page 472 it describes dissociative Identity disorder as a dissociative disorder in which a person appears to have more that one Identity, each of which behaves in a different way. This is exactly what Charlie and hank did. Charlie was the nice guy who would do anything to help people and Hank was selfish, only thought about himself and what he wanted and when he wanted it. I believe the ID part of Hanks personality was in control, which can be found on page 421 in the book.

This is a really good example of DID or multiple personalities. Charlie is the nice respectful side and Hank is the rude more forward side. They give him medicine to try and block out hank, but in the end he over comes Hank. They combine and Charlie is fine.
Great example of DID. This movies shows how people change personalities and not remember what happen in between the changes. Good example of what we study in Chapter 12.
